2004
Eight tables on Main Street
Prem and Maya Gurung open the first Nepali kitchen in Dallas — one steamer, eight tables, and recipes carried from Pokhara in a spiral notebook.
2009
First 'Best Momo' award
The steamed chicken momo takes the city's first 'Best Momo' ribbon. The notebook recipe hasn't changed since.
2014
Featured on local TV
A morning-show crew films the Friday jhol momo rush. Dallas learns how to say 'achar' — and the phone hasn't stopped ringing.
2019
The dining room grows
The wall to the old tailor's shop next door comes down. Forty more seats, the same eight-table welcome — and 'Best of Dallas' the same year.
2024
The second generation joins
Daughter Asmita steps in beside her parents, twenty years to the month after opening day. The notebook gets its first new page.
