Thirty-eight years on Commerce Street.
We opened in 1987 with four hundred square feet, one register, and a stubborn idea: sell wine the way a good bookshop sells books. Taste everything, stock what’s honest, and never let a neighbor leave with a bottle we wouldn’t drink ourselves.
The shelves have grown; the idea hasn’t. Every bottle in the shop was tasted by someone whose name you can ask for. If it disappoints, bring it back and we’ll make it right.
Employee-owned since 2011 — the people pouring on Friday own the floor they stand on.
